Windy City is excited to host our first youth field hockey camp this summer for rising 1st-5th graders. The camp is a great opportunity to learn the sport for the first time or to improve your skills as a returning player. WCFH camp runs from June 22-25th from 9a-12p. Welcome to Windy City Field Hockey, the Chicago area's oldest and largest club since 1991. Windy City's Owner and Director, Katie Beach, is an Olympian and former Division I Head Coach and Field Hockey Student-Athlete with extensive international, national and local relationships. Our staff is available for player and family support, collegiate questions and program guidance. Our coaches are mostly all former collegiate athletes who have experienced the requirements for competition in collegiate play.
In our club you will find professionally run programs for nearly all ages, skill levels and commitments. We offer activities for girls and women as young as kindergarten through adults. We satisfy beginners wanting to experience the sport for the first time, players that want to get more training throughout the year and the serious travel team player.
In June 2015, WCFH Travel Team players will travel to Valencia & Barcelona Spain for the Women's Hockey World League Semi Finals and to play in several matches themselves versus local clubs. They will experience the local culture through community service outings as well as tourist excursions. Registration link above opens at 7am, December 9th. We will be able to accommodate a maximum of 15 field players and one GK per U16 & U19 team. As of 12/11, 3 field player spots remain for U19 team and 6 field player spots remain for U16 team.
In August 2016, WCFH will celebrate their 25th Anniversary and a special trip is in the planning stages. This trip will take travel team players to the Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The players will attend Olympic Hockey matches as well as play in several matches. They will experience the local culture through community service outings as well as tourist excursions.
These trips are being organized with our travel partner Zag Sports.
