The Windy City Roots goal is to allow young players the ability to experience the fun of playing with a stick and ball. Roots is for players that want to experience the sport for the first time or continue to learn and develop. Windy City provides a professionally run program in the Winter for 1st through 5th graders. Each session consists of a skills component and finishes with small game play. The emphasis is on learning and perfecting the basic skills. All coaches are are Windy City Travel coaches. The program uses age appropriate curriculum and teaching methods for players at a younger age.
Roots is managed by Amanda Care, Barb Liles and Warren Dorn
All players are required to have their own sticks, shin guards, mouth guards and eyewear. An optional Windy City skirt and back pack will be available for purchase on site.
All confirmation is communicated by e-mail and the Windy City web site. As registrations are received, an e-mail is sent and the players name appears in Confirmed Players. After registrations are closed, players will receive more detailed information.
