Windy City provides Academy league play for 6th through 12th graders wishing to continue their development. Players may sign up for this program regardless of their participation in other Windy City Winter events. The emphasis in Summer Academy is to continue to develop skills in a 45 minute skills session and then to play league tournament games. Games are small sided and played on a smaller field. Players will receive equal playing time. Tournament style is round robin and champions are named. All coaches and umpires are trained and supervised by the Windy City directors. Each team coach is given an age appropriate curriculum to follow so all players receive consistent information.
Summer League is managed by Katie Beach and Keith Beach
Each player will receive a Windy City tank top and colored socks to keep as part of their registration fee. All players are required to have plain black shorts, their own sticks, shin guards, and mouth guards. Eyewear is optional.
All league confirmation, team rosters and game schedules will be communicated by e-mail and the Windy City web site. As registrations are received, an e-mail is sent and the players name appears in Confirmed Players. After registrations are closed, players will be assigned to a Team Roster.
