WHAT IS WINDY CITY FIELD HOCKEY?

sneakersWindy City Field Hockey has been providing field hockey instruction and competition since 1991 through leagues, clubs, clinics and travelling teams. Our aim is to offer events and competitive opportunities for 5th graders through adults. Through these activities, our purpose has been to help the sport grow in the Chicago and Milwaukee regions. It is our goal that we provide opportunities for existing players to develop their skills to the highest level as well as encourage new players to participate.

2010 Spring & Summer Programs

defense_indoor-leagueWinter Club is almost completed and sign-up for our Spring and Summer events will begin shortly.

Spring League is March through May with the dates and times on this web site calendar. This is a Select Team event only. Read more about this event in Windy City Programs>Select Registration and more specifically the explanations of events in Select Registrations. Information for sign-up will be sent to Select Team players only.  

Summer League is an Open Registration event for anyone that qualifies by age. Brochures will be posted on the web site in March. The dates are on the web site calendar now. This is a fun, competitive event that is the highlight of many players field hockey summer!

This year there will be an Optional Summer League for Select Team players. This will be an 11v11 format, coached play with older more experienced players joining in to raise the level of competition. Select Team players will receive information about this program by e-mail.

Junior Summer Camp is the last week in July. It is for rising 5th through 9th graders. This is a very fun camp that is especially geared for the developmental level of younger players. It is a great way for rising 9th graders to get ready for their high school seasons. Brochures for Summer Camp will be posted on the web site in March.
